Well, he didn't mean to slam Willow into a wall, but karma is karma I suppose! It should be said that Bubble actually can dance, but as longtime fans will point out, the music HAS to be right! And clearly, it ain't gonna be anything modern! Perhaps by Tuesday both of these love birds can put things right?

If I can be serious for a moment, y'all likely noticed the name of the club is called "Batton's." This is in reference to my dear pal Batton Lash, who passed away last month rather suddenly. Soft-spoken, quick to help and always sharply dressed, quite simply, Batton was an amazing man. He put in many years in the comic industry, working for just about every major publisher, and was a true pioneer of web comics and fought hard to make our medium respectable. He was also a mentor to MANY young comic artists, including a big, shy kid from south San Diego who was always walking around local comic cons and art shows showing his bug-eyed sketchbook drawings to any artist that would take a look in hopes they wouldn't be too harsh on it. Batton befriended me pretty quickly, even giving me his cell number (Which I still have in my contacts), and invited me to be in several art shows. He'd always make it a point to stop by my booth at cons I tabled at to say hi and even helped get me on my first panel ever at the 2013 San Diego Comic Fest. At last year's SDCF, he went out of his way to find me and offer his condolences after hearing of my father's passing. He was a class act always and without question the kindest man in comics. He literally knew everyone from headliners like Frank Miller and Jim Lee to barrel-scrapers like myself and we all share the same opinion of him: Batton Lash was awesome. I could go on, but there are only so many hours in a day. I'll simply end this by saying thanks Batton. Thanks for being the wizard who gave this lion some badly needed courage. I'll see ya again down the road my friend.
